Caapi (Banisteriopsis caapi) Trueno Expand

Caapi (Banisteriopsis caapi) Trueno

New

Caapi (Banisteriopsis caapi) Trueno, 50 gram.

Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi) is one of the two main ingredients of a traditional medicinal and visionary brew from the Amazon region. It contains a high concentration of natural MAO-inhibitors and has powerful purgative effects.

Some indigenous people distinguish over 40 varieties. Two varieties that are common are Ourinhos and Trueno. "Trueno" means "thunder" and some people say this type causes relatively high intensity physical effects.

Usage

First pound the vine with a hammer, until it has become a bundle of soft, fibrous threads. Typical doses when used by itself are in the range of 25 to 150 grams, depending on the variety, the quality, the purpose and of course the sensitivity of the drinker. When used in an Ayahuasca like brew that also contains DMT, common dosages are 50 to 100 grams in the lower dose range and 100 to 150 grams in the higher dose range.
Ingredients

We sell the vine, not the leaves. The primary active ingredients in this part of B. caapi are harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine (Raetsch 2005).
Warning

B. caapi contains MAO-inhibiting substances. This means it can be very dangerous when combined with certain medication, foods or other psychoactives that are totally harmless when taken by themselves.

Mimosa hostilis (Jurema Preta) schredded 10g

Mimosa hostilis (Jurema Preta)

Mimosa hostilis is a tree from Brazil, where it is better known as Jurema Preta. Its rootbark contains a visionary tryptamine. Mimosa hostilis is often used together with Peganum harmala to produce an effective and easy to prepare Ayahuasca analogue.

Usage:

In combination with an MAO-inhibitor the dosage is 5 to 20 grams of Mimosa hostilis. Taken by itself (as a cold water infusion) a higher dosage is required: between 25 and 45 grams.
